ABOUT ME
Alberto Gonzalez is a Chemical Engineer and consultant whose professional career spans process engineering, safety, quality systems, and verification, validation, and acceptance (VV&A) across complex industrial and engineering project environments.
After completing his engineering education in Portugal and Venezuela, Alberto began his career in manufacturing and logistics, working in quality and industrial engineering roles within ISO-regulated organisations. These early years gave him a solid operational foundation, exposing him directly to production systems, continuous improvement, compliance frameworks, and the realities of running industrial operations efficiently.
As his career evolved, he transitioned into process and safety engineering roles within EPC and EPCM projects across sectors, including chemicals, oil and gas, petrochemicals, food and beverage, and industrial utilities.
He contributed to base and detailed engineering, fire protection systems, ATEX environments, HAZOP and LOPA studies, and the application of international standards such as ISO, NFPA, API, and IEC. This phase of his career strengthened his ability to bridge technical detail with practical, implementable solutions.
Alongside project delivery, Alberto developed strong expertise in requirements engineering and VV&A activities, supporting organisations in structuring specifications, managing traceability, defining verification strategies, and ensuring alignment between customer expectations, technical documentation and delivered systems. His work often involved acting as an interface between engineering disciplines, project management, and clients.
More recently, Alberto has been working in the naval and defence sector at Damen Naval in the Netherlands, supporting large-scale shipbuilding programmes as a Verification, Validation & Acceptance Engineer. In this role, he focuses on system requirements, document control, verification planning, and progressive system acceptance within highly regulated environments.
Today, Alberto combines his engineering background with a consulting mindset, focusing on systems thinking, structure, and performance. Years of working in high-pressure technical contexts led him to explore how clarity, organisation, and energy management directly impact professional and organisational effectiveness. This perspective underpins his current work as a consultant and founder, where he develops methodologies, content, and tools designed to help individuals and organisations operate with greater focus, efficiency, and sustainability.
Through this platform, Alberto shares insights from engineering, systems thinking, and real-world project experience, while building practical frameworks and products that support intelligent planning, energy-aware productivity, and long-term performance.
